Built by Ulster-Scots settlers in 1769, the Meetinghouse in East Derry was the center of their civic and religious life. For the past 12 years, we have been devoted to an on-going rehabilitation project of the Meetinghouse, which is a regional treasure. When completed, the Meetinghouse will once again serve the greater community as an excellent venue for concerts, presentations, meetings, as well as worship services in the sanctuary.

First Parish Church, like all non-profits, relies on the generosity of community members for funding for which we are deeply grateful. We are very happy to share with you that we are approaching the conclusion of the sanctuary phase of the rehabilitation project. With the help of community members, we are on schedule to reopen in December. For the first time in 8 years, we will celebrate Christmas in the sanctuary!

As we push towards this goal, we continue to work diligently to raise the needed funds for this important project. On October 19 from 4pm-7pm, we will host our third annual Trivia Night at the Greater Derry Boys and Girls Club.  This event has grown in popularity each year.

The price is $30 per person for 7 or less people in your group, $25 per person for 8 people.   In addition to the wonderful game of trivia, there will be raffle baskets, prizes, and there will be appetizers and a cash bar. Since our event is so close to Halloween this year, we are encouraging teams to dress up.  The team with the best theme/costumes will be awarded a prize.
